Blake Horvath complemented two touchdown passes with 211 yards rushing and four scores and Rayuan Lane III had an 86-yard pick-6 in the closing seconds to help unbeaten Navy hold on for a 56-44 victory over Memphis, handing the Tigers their first loss in their American Athletic Conference opener on Saturday.

Blake Horvath delivered a game to remember, accounting for more than 400 yards of offense in leading Navy to a stunning upset of Memphis.

Horvath did it all for the Midshipmen at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. He gave Memphis fits on the ground, bursting free for long gains and pushing through contact for extra yards. He was unflinching in the face of pressure and more than willing to air the ball out in Navy’s new hybrid wing-T offense.
