An American Airlines passenger had an uncomfortable flight after the seat in front of him was reclined ‘in my lap’

A first-class flyer likely thought he was flying coach after the passenger in front reclined their seat into his lap on an American Airlines flight. A picture of the egregious space invasion is currently taking off on X.

A passenger paid for a first-class ticket on an American Airlines flight, but the seat in front of him trapped him in his chair, which led to the airline posting a public apology on X.

Back in May 2024, the airline received a federal lawsuit after eight Black male passengers were removed from a flight going from Phoenix to New York City due to a complaint about their body odor. The airline has now announced a change to their Inflight Manual that details under which circumstances flight attendants are allowed to remove passengers.
