Natalie Darwitz of Eagan and Krissy Wendell-Pohl of Park Center only faced each other once in high school, but became teammates with the Gophers and went on to medal-filled careers with the U.S. women’s hockey Olympic team.

It’s the first Hall of Fame class to include two women’s players since 2010 and the first ever to include two American women. Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Poh were teammates at the University of Minnesota and on the U.

Shea Weber headlined the 2024 Hockey Hall of Fame class inducted Monday night, joining Pavel Datsyuk, Jeremy Roenick, Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell in the player category. David Poile and Colin Campbell entered as builders.

Former captain of the Nashville Predators, Shea Weber, is being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony takes place in Toronto on Monday, November 11 and Weber will be joined by former general manager of the Predators,
