CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were killed in a targeted robbery and shooting in Chinatown Tuesday night, Chicago police and the local alderman said. The shooting took place at about 9:56 p.m. in the 2400-block of South Normal Avenue.

Hillcrest High School was closed for Veterans Day Monday, so the campus was largely empty as Country Club Hills police said they continued to investigate the tragic shooting.

"It's not the kids that go to the school. It's always outside," local activist Stringer Harris said of the gun violence
