And Jenna Bush Hager is getting a new show and co-host as a result. Kotb, 60, announced she would be stepping away from the “Today” show on Sept. 26. In the weeks since, fans have been wondering who the network would choose to replace her.

Two months after the 60-year-old broadcaster announced she was leaving the NBC morning show, her replacement has been revealed.

Craig Melvin will replace Hoda Kotb as an anchor on “ Today ,” NBC’s morning show announced Thursday, keeping the major transition in-house. (Watch the video below.) Melvin was already the news anchor on “Today” and will begin working alongside Savannah Guthrie on Jan. 13.

I am beyond excited and grateful,” Melvin said, thanking “NBC and the folks here who deemed me worthy.” He begins as co-host in January.

It looks like NBC’s signature morning show Today will be having a new, yet familiar face co-hosting after Hoda Kotb steps down in early 2025.
