Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville is generally better known for having a ball at his feet than a guitar in his hands. But the footballer-turned-TV pundit has caused a stir after he jokingly agreed to join chart-topping indie band The Reytons as a bassist for their upcoming tour.

Gary Neville has teased he will be joining The Reytons on their big tour next year following the recent release of their second album. The former Manchester United player has appeared in a video alongside the four-piece, who hail from Rotherham in South Yorkshire, where he jokingly auditioned to replace bassist Lee Holland on the road.
