The piece of artwork is prominently displayed inside the home of former Gophers linebackers coach Mike Sherels. It’s a custom painting that shows Sherels standing alongside a collection of his former players who have gone on to reach the NFL.

The former University of Minnesota standout and Eden Prairie-native has been all over the field, leading the team in tackles and passes defended.

Former Gophers linebacker Blake Cashman was all over the field in his home debut with the Minnesota Vikings. He finished the day with a team-high 13 total tackles, one sack, and three pass deflections — one of which led to a game-changing interception.
