Ten months after they celebrated perfection, Michigan has descended into mediocrity. They have lost four of five games and still haven’t attained achieved bowl eligibility.

Michigan football has suffered through injury trouble throughout the season, and another starter went down early in today's game at Indiana. On the Wolverines' first possession, starting right guard Giovanni El-Hadi left the game with an injury after getting rolled up on at the end of a run play.

Though the Hoosiers have almost always been a tough out and have taken good Michigan teams to the brink, this IU squad under Curt Cignetti is ranked No. 8 in the College Football Playoff rankings compared to the 5-4 Wolverines who are unranked and struggling to find an identity.
