Frequent doubles partners and off-court friends Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula will come up against each other in their first 2024 WTA Finals match on Sunday. The two American stars will face each other as singles opponents for the sixth time as they both look to push as far as they can in the season-ending tournament.

Coco Gauff has won the WTA Finals for the first time by rallying to beat Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (2) in the final in Riyadh.

Collecting her $4.8 million check, she won the WTA Finals after beating the two best players in the world, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek.
