LEE COUNTY, S.C. — A deputy was injured and a K-9 was killed after an officer-involved shooting in Lee County Friday. According to the Horry County Police Department, a multi-agency search over multiple counties occurred following a shooting in Chesterfield County.

A man was shot and killed after leading officers on a chase from New York City to Long Island, Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said.

A Fort Worth police officer who was at the center of a controversial 2016 arrest has been arrested and booked into the Tarrant County Jail following his involvement in an off-duty shooting earlier this month according to a police department news release.

William Martin’s arrest comes after Fort Worth residents demanded that he be held accountable for his actions, saying the shooting is part of a pattern of “aggressive behavior.”

Officers found firearms, drugs, a stolen vehicle and spent shell casings, among other items during searches of a hangout and nearby home.

A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a 34-year-old woman outside of her apartment in Bordeaux.
