A teenager is facing murder charges in the deadly shooting of a woman who was defending her family last week in Chinatown.

A 57-year-old woman was shot in the face — in front of her husband and his son — during an apparent botched robbery in her Chinatown building, authorities say. Authorities responding to a call on Market Street around 11 p.

The captured teen was also charged with murder, burglary, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting death of 57-year-old home health aide Ying Zhu Liu, police said.
