The current trajectory of the Dallas Cowboys’ season suggests there were already scarce reasons for Dak Prescott to rush back from injury, but on Wednesday his head coach emphasized the significance of the quarterback’s next steps anyway.

Dak Prescott underwent hamstring surgery on Wednesday, Nov. 13, which will sideline him for the remainder of the year. However, the Cowboys also traded a fourth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers for relatively unproven wide receiver Jonathan Mingo a couple of days after Prescott suffered that injury.

The good news for Dallas is that Rapoport added that Prescott is expected to recover fully from the injury for 2025. However, that doesn’t help much for a 3-5 Cowboys team on the ropes right now.
